What are fat-dissolving injections?

Fat-dissolving injections destroy and remove fat cells in specific areas such as the double chin or belly fat. Fat-dissolving injections are made from Deoxycholic Acid Solutions. This acid is naturally occurring, produced within the human body by the liver. By using this acid at a higher concentration it can be injected into specific areas and used to target and destroy fat cells. The fat cells will then be naturally released and drained away by your lymphatic system.

What is the downtime?

After treatment, there may be redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness or itching in the treated area. This is a normal result of the product/injection – the inconvenience is temporary and generally disappears. Small lumps may also occur and will go over a few days however as everyone is different, recovery times can vary.

Who is a good candidate?

The ideal patient for fat-dissolving injections would be someone who has moderate to severe submental fullness. Consultation with our medical team will be conducted prior to determining suitability.

When will I begin to see results?

Results of fat dissolving injections take up to 5 to 8 weeks to be fully seen. Patients who see the greatest results are those on a treatment plan after 3 - 5 sessions. There are many great benefits to fat dissolving injections as the results are permanent.
